Danish meltie
An easy and satisfying lunch.
What you need
- 400 g wholemeal baguettes
- 1 beef tomato, sliced
- 1 small red onion, peeled and sliced
- 75 g sliced mozzarella cheese
- 3 rashers cooked rindless back bacon
- 1 salad onions, trimmed and sliced
- seasoning
Method
Preheat oven to 200°C.
Cut the baguette into slices at regular intervals diagonally but not all the way through the base. Place onto a baking tray.
In between each of these slices, arrange the slices of tomato, onion, cheese, bacon and salad onions. Season to taste.
Heat in the oven for 8-10 min or until the cheese melts. Serve immediately.
